Building & Savings Association
Brookville Building & Savings Association was chartered on February 28, 1903, to meet the savings and credit needs of local individuals, businesses, and organizations. Founded as a “money business” offering fair loans and savings opportunities, its first president was David E. Williamson, with John Mills as Assistant Secretary and Albert Dunkel as Treasurer. The original branch on Walnut Street in Brookville, Ohio, moved to Market Street, and in 1968 relocated to its current location at 510 Arlington Road. In 1977, Brookville Building & Savings opened a branch in Lewisburg, Ohio, which was remodeled in 1997. Today, Brookville Building & Savings offers a range of personal and business banking services, including mortgages, in a friendly, hometown atmosphere.

Rob Rutherford serves as President and Chief Financial Officer of BBSA, bringing more than 35 years of financial and banking experience to his leadership role. In addition to banking, Rob has over 25 years of experience working in his family’s CPA firm. His unique background is reflected in his approach to helping families achieve homeownership and assisting small businesses with their banking needs.
Rob earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Services from Wright State University. Known for his approachable leadership style and commitment to personal service, Rob values the strong relationships that community banking makes possible. He is proud to support the mission of BBSA by helping preserve the trusted, hometown banking experience that has served the Brookville community for generations.
Outside the office, Rob and his wife are avid hikers who enjoy exploring America’s national parks, with Glacier and Yosemite among their favorites.
